ABRD was founded in 1996, and incorporated in 2000 by Anupam Bansal and Rajesh Dongre. We aspire to Create Conscious Designs. Our studio follows an evolutionary approach of design, where solutions emerge as a response to local contexts and natural environment, while being economically viable. We believe in crafting and co-creating built environments that facilitate well-being.

At the threshold of the next decade, ABRD is transforming from a personality driven practice to an ideas driven platform. With this new vision, we have rechristened to Atelier for Built-environment Research and Design. The studio is now pro-actively undertaking collaborative projects and research initiatives to create innovative & sustainable solutions.
